About Impala Terminals Rotterdam:

At Impala Terminals Group we facilitate the storage and handling of raw materials worldwide, providing producers and consumers with reliable and efficient access to international markets through our global network of owned and operated terminals, and a presence in 28 countries.

Our brand new flagship Impala Terminals Rotterdam facility is under construction in preparation for commissioning. This innovative terminal on the Maasvlakte is striving to be a zero-emission facility: the terminal is fully automated and meets the highest safety and environmental standards. It’s a facility built for the energy needs of both today and tomorrow.

For the start-up phase of Impala Terminals Rotterdam, we are looking for employees with a mindset for success. Because wherever we operate in the world, we strive for the same quality standards - and that all starts with our people. Our employees are the foundation of our company. Will you seize the opportunity to become part of a new team that’s creating something special?

Your Role:

Are you ready to be at the forefront of maintaining the operational efficiency of our mechanical systems? As a Maintenance Field Supervisor (Mechanical), you will be responsible for supervising daily maintenance activities to ensure they are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with our operational standards. In this role, you will be the key point of contact in the field, guiding contractors, validating work permits, and ensuring safety requirements are met. You will support the maintenance team by conducting field checks, providing critical information for job planning, and coordinating both small-scale, low-risk tasks and larger, complex activities. Additionally, you will play an essential role in equipment handovers during project commissioning, contributing to the seamless transition between operational phases. Your insights and proactive problem-solving skills will help drive continuous improvements in our maintenance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including validating work permits and guiding contractors on-site.
  • Supervise field activities to ensure safe, effective maintenance operations and provide support in problem-solving, job scoping, and planning.
  • Lead start-up processes for high-risk tasks, implementing safety measures and verifying the proper application of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Validate the quality and scope of third-party work, conduct field inspections, and update the CMMS system.
  • Assist in permit preparation and participate in equipment handovers during project commissioning.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in safety audits to ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance field processes and provide feedback to planners.
  • Support the preparation and execution of high-priority maintenance tasks, ensuring quality and timely completion.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize maintenance operations.
  • Validate environmental compliance during maintenance activities to minimize potential risks.
  • Provide input for initiatives aimed at reducing costs and enhancing overall maintenance efficiency.

About You:

  • Educational Background: MBO-2/3 in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in the O&G or liquid tank storage industry. Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards is crucial.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading technical mechanical documentation and using CMMS for maintenance planning and reporting. Knowledge of LOTO procedures is essential.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to solve problems proactively, manage complex situations, and work effectively with contractors.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in Dutch and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with local and international teams.
  • Competencies: Detail-oriented, results-driven, team player, proactive in addressing issues, and comfortable providing feedback for continuous improvement.

What We Have for You:

Join our team and enjoy a comprehensive and competitive benefits package designed to support your well-being and professional growth, including a pension plan, healthcare coverage, and a discretionary bonus. Be part of a young and dynamic company with a can-do mindset, where innovation, collaboration, and growth are at the heart of everything we do. Embrace the opportunity to make a significant impact and advance your career in an environment that values your contributions and supports your ambitions.
