For the start-up phase of Impala Terminals Rotterdam, we are looking for proactive team players who strive for success. Our employees are the foundation of our company, ensuring high-quality standards wherever we operate. Will you seize the opportunity to be part of this innovative journey?

Your Role:

As the Maintenance Field Supervisor (Electrical & Instrumentation), you will oversee the safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with work orders, permits, and safety protocols. You will act as the key contact in the field, supervising contractors and validating that all safety requirements are strictly followed. You will support the maintenance team by providing field insights, troubleshooting issues, and participating in job planning. This role involves coordinating both routine and high-risk activities, managing equipment handovers, and leading the start-up processes for complex tasks. Your input will be crucial in optimizing maintenance operations and driving continuous improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, validate work permits, and guide contractors on-site.
  • Supervise field activities for safe and effective maintenance execution, offering support in problem-solving and planning.
  • Lead start-up processes for high-risk tasks, implementing necessary safety measures and verifying Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Validate the quality of work performed by third-party contractors, conduct field inspections, and update the CMMS system.
  • Assist in permit preparations and participate in equipment handovers during project commissioning activities.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in safety audits and ensure maintenance activities comply with regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance field processes, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Support the preparation and execution of high-priority maintenance tasks and environmental compliance checks.

About You:

  • Educational Background: MBO-2/3 in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years as a maintenance technician, preferably in the O&G or liquid tank storage industry. Knowledge of ATEX for inspectors, NEN-3140, and NEN-3840 is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading technical documentation and using CMMS for maintenance planning.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, proactive in solving problems, and confident in addressing third-party issues.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Competencies: Detail-oriented, results-focused, with strong planning and organizational skills. A true team player who can drive continuous improvements.
