Your role:

Are you ready to play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our mechanical operations? We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Discipline Engineer - Mechanical to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily management of maintenance activities across various disciplines including mechanical, civil, rotating, static, piping, and structural. Your focus will be on planning, scheduling, and overseeing mechanical maintenance tasks while ensuring compliance with safety and industry regulations.

• Promote and maintain safe work practices, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Manage and monitor maintenance budgets, including Opex and Capex, while controlling costs.
• Oversee daily maintenance activities, coordinating with Operations, Customer Service, and HSE teams.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for mechanical failures, ensuring availability of spare parts and tools.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs, monitor contractor performance, and optimize maintenance processes.
• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, using KPIs to track performance and drive improvements.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members, providing technical input and managing local maintenance contracts.
  
  

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in safety studies, projects, engineering tasks, and regulatory audits.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures, promoting a culture of safety within the team and among contractors.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and enhanced reliability.
• Conduct root cause analysis for significant equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

About you:

• MBO-4 or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years' experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally in O&G or liquid tank storage.
• Expertise in mechanical systems (tanks, pumps, valves, pipelines).
• Proficient in preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements (health, safety, environmental).
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex mechanical issues and root cause analysis.
• Ability to read technical documentation, with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Proficiency in CMMS, AutoCAD, MS Project.
