Your Role

As a Dayshift Operator, you play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of daily terminal operations. You will be responsible for managing the Permit to Work (PTW) system, implementing Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures, and supporting operational and maintenance activities. Working closely with the Operations Manager, Officers, Shift Supervisors, Operators, and other departments such as HSEQ and Maintenance, you ensure that all activities adhere to the highest safety and quality standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Permit to Work (PTW) management: Overseeing, coordinating, and issuing work permits to ensure safe work practices.

  • Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) implementation: Enforcing energy isolation procedures to ensure safe execution of maintenance and repair tasks.

  • Operational support: Assisting in terminal operations, material movement, and maintenance tasks.

  • Safety inspections & compliance: Conducting workplace inspections and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.

  • Maintenance team support: Collaborating with technical teams and contractors on maintenance and repair activities.

  • Communication & coordination: Working closely with different teams to ensure smooth execution of daily operations

Job requirements

About you

•             MBO-level education, preferably in a technical field or Operator B certification.

•             3-5 years of experience in an industrial or operational environment, preferably in a (liquid) bulk terminal.

•             Experience with Permit to Work (PTW) and LOTO procedures, or willingness to learn.

•             Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.

•             Proactive and hands-on mentality, with attention to safety and accuracy.

•             Valid driver’s license.
